The Bad Guys Review: DreamWorks Best Film in Years

 


    DreamWorks lets face it, has been struggling. Ever since Jeffrey Katzenberg (the original CEO) left and it was sold to Universal, they only made a handful of good movies. Captain Underpants, Kung Fu Panda 3, and How to Train Your Dragon 3 are really the only good DreamWorks movies that have came out from 2015 to 2021. I haven't seen Croods 2 yet though I heard that's good. Literally everything else they made has been bad. The Trolls movies, The Boss Baby movies, Spirit Untamed (I have not seen that either but critics and audiences did not like it so I'm including it), and Home (that one is just ok). They also just haven't been able to stand out as well as they used to, being over shadowed by Disney, Pixar, Illumination (which only made like 3 good movies to be honest), and Sony kinda pushing them aside. So DreamWorks needed a movie that would bring them back to there former glory. Bring in the Bad Guys. An absolute breath off fresh air for DreamWorks, honestly being the studios BEST film since How to Train Your Dragon 3. I'm honestly surprised how great it is consider the type of hit and miss quality that DreamWorks has had the pass couple of years. First off, the animation is GORGEUS like REALLY gorgeous. Like some off the greatest animation you will EVER seen. It has the now extremally popular Spiderverse style but it looks very different from Spiderverse. It looks like old 70's anime and French comics. It looks GORGEUS. The story is good to, making the whole bad guys turn into good guys storyline. They do something different with it which is great!!  The story also goes to some pretty great places. Also, the characters are all very likable and you really care for them and you are like in your head "No don't do it!" at some moments. The voice acting is FANTASTIC in this movie especially Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf and Marc Maron as Mr. Snake. Also Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark off course is amazing and Anthony Ramos is awesome as Mr. Piranha bringing SO much energy to his character. Overall, this is a pretty good movie that is one off DreamWorks best and I recommend!!

    Looney Tunes Back in Action is outstanding! It is  very underrated! It is a lot like Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Mary Poppins where it combines 2d hand drawn animation and live action. The movie combines everything I love about Looney Tunes and more with monsters, spy's, Steve Martin, Westerns, Adventure films, and everything else I love. The interactions between the animated characters and the human characters are amazing, very fun to look at, here is an example.      The animation is gorgeous, oh and also, IT IS HILARIOUS! Avatar Show Confirmed for 2025!!!! (and other updates)

                We now have are second Avatar Studios project announcement!!! After the very exciting announcement of the young adult team Avatar movie which is now confirmed for a October 10th 2025, we now have gotten an announcement for Avatars next show!!! The show will be about the next Avatar after Korra, who is an Earth avatar!!! The show will take place 100 years after Korra and will take place in modern day!!! Can you imagine an Avatar show, that takes place in modern day!?!?! With like newer looking cars and technology mixed with the classic Asian architecture and look that the series is known for!?!?! That's AMAZING!!! Avatar Studios will also  apparently release a show on paramount plus and a movie every year!?!?! That's INSANE!!!! Lets just hope they don't run out of steam. Animated Films with stylized animation (and how they did it)

 I got a ton of reviews for movies and shows that I wanna do but I feel like I've been doing a lot of reviews lately, so I'm gonna do this instead. It gives me a little else to talk about. Today I'm gonna talk about movies with animation that looks like nothing we've seen before and how they did it. I also put videos so you can see the process. Spider-Man into the Spiderverse Spider-Man into the Spiderverse is a groundbreaking film in many ways. But one reason is because of its incredible animation! How they made the computer animation look like a comic book is amazing! How they did it is they put a lot of 2-D lines on the characters face. Look closely on Miles' face, see how the wrinkles on his forehead look hand drawn. They also animated most of the movie on twos, which means that they are 12 frames of animation in one second instead of the 24 frames of animation in one second which is used in most animated films.
