Animation News: Spiderverse 2 villian, Studio that brought us Klaus' Next Film, and Ghostbusters Animated Movie and Show

 



    Lots of things going on in the animation world so lets get into it. I will save the spiderman news for last! Spa Studios, the studio that brought 2d animation back to the mainstream with one off my faviorite movies, Klaus, has announced a few days ago there next movie, which tells the story of the search of fire. You know those stories or jokes about like cavemen discovering fire for the first time, that's what this is. It follows young Dikia, who has to get a spark from a volcano to save her tribe. It will, like Klaus, be 2d animated the same way Klaus was. I'm SUPER excited for this cause I LOVED Klaus and the plot sounds REALLY cool and I'm just really happy that Spa is bring back the animation that made me fall in love with animation in the first place. Being able to make your drawings move is just the worlds best magic trick TM.

    Next is the Ghostbusters animated show and movie. They both are made by the same studio that did Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse so you know it most likely will be good! The show we know more about. The show is based off of the early drafts of Ghostbusters, where it was about janitors in the future fighting Ghosts. That is insane and I love it. That will be on Netflix.

    The last news is the best. They just showed us who the villian for Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse, The Spot, which was the villian a lot off people thought would be the villian including myself because he can he can travel through different dimensions and this next movie is about Miles jumping through different dimensions. Here's the icing on the cake though, he's played by Jason Schwartzman, who played Jesper in the previously mentioned Klaus, and Ash in Fantastic Mr. Fox. I was SO excited when I figured out who the villian was and who was playing him. I get excited about anything Spiderverse related. I'm just REALLY excited for this movie. There's so much cool stuff happening in the world of animation right now!! And I'm here for it!!

    Looney Tunes Back in Action is outstanding! It is  very underrated! It is a lot like Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Mary Poppins where it combines 2d hand drawn animation and live action. The movie combines everything I love about Looney Tunes and more with monsters, spy's, Steve Martin, Westerns, Adventure films, and everything else I love. The interactions between the animated characters and the human characters are amazing, very fun to look at, here is an example.      The animation is gorgeous, oh and also, IT IS HILARIOUS! Avatar Show Confirmed for 2025!!!! (and other updates)

                We now have are second Avatar Studios project announcement!!! After the very exciting announcement of the young adult team Avatar movie which is now confirmed for a October 10th 2025, we now have gotten an announcement for Avatars next show!!! The show will be about the next Avatar after Korra, who is an Earth avatar!!! The show will take place 100 years after Korra and will take place in modern day!!! Can you imagine an Avatar show, that takes place in modern day!?!?! With like newer looking cars and technology mixed with the classic Asian architecture and look that the series is known for!?!?! That's AMAZING!!! Avatar Studios will also  apparently release a show on paramount plus and a movie every year!?!?! That's INSANE!!!! Lets just hope they don't run out of steam. Animated Films with stylized animation (and how they did it)

 I got a ton of reviews for movies and shows that I wanna do but I feel like I've been doing a lot of reviews lately, so I'm gonna do this instead. It gives me a little else to talk about. Today I'm gonna talk about movies with animation that looks like nothing we've seen before and how they did it. I also put videos so you can see the process. Spider-Man into the Spiderverse Spider-Man into the Spiderverse is a groundbreaking film in many ways. But one reason is because of its incredible animation! How they made the computer animation look like a comic book is amazing! How they did it is they put a lot of 2-D lines on the characters face. Look closely on Miles' face, see how the wrinkles on his forehead look hand drawn. They also animated most of the movie on twos, which means that they are 12 frames of animation in one second instead of the 24 frames of animation in one second which is used in most animated films.
