Ranking all of the Pixar films from Worst to Best

The studio that is known for there films that make you cry, Pixar knows how to craft a incredible and emotional story. One of the co founders of Pixar, John Lasseter once said that Pixar is about "story, story, story!". You can absolutely see that in there films. I have grown up and loved there films and it was Toy Story that got me into animation in the first place! It is one of my faviorite film studios ever  Some of my all time faviorite films come from this studio. They can do no wrong in my eyes. Even some of there not so good movies are better then some of the animated films from other studios. They just give almost every film there all. And yes, I have seen everyone released thus far. I'm a crazy person. Lets jump right in!

26: Cars 2

Ok, Pixar has never made a bad movie, however, they have made a couple off not so good films. Cars 2 is not amazing. There are still things to like here and I still enjoyed it. The animation is nice and the action sequences are great. The whole idea of reusable fuel and lemon cars as the villains is great. The whole spy thing is good. I like how they want to be different from the first one. A lot of sequels do the same thing but worse, this is a sequel that doesn't do the same thing but its a bit worse. Mater as the main character is fine but at least have Lightning McQueen join him on the adventure so there able to go through there argument together. But no, that's not what they did. Lighting McQueen and the World Grand Prix feel like and after thought, the jokes are kind of stupid, and they put the logic of the cars into question in this one. In the first movie, it is established that cars' food is oil. This one shows us there is wasabi, pistachio ice cream, lemons, and tacos. All for the sake of a joke. This one feels like it just once to sell toys, but it isn't to bad since there is a lot of creativity.

25:  Turning Red

Wow, its funny how when Pixar lets women Direct, they end up making the worst Pixar movies!!! Lol. This is not your typical Pixar film. 4 Pixar films that aren't sequels in a row! That's amazing! However, it has problems. My opinions on this film have changed drastically thanks to my friends. There is talk of periods and stuff in here that some girls can relate to, but boys probably going to be uncomfortable and little kids would be confused. I feel like that isn't the best thing to put in a family film. It should really be up to the parents but I feel like it should be the parents job to tell them that. I read on an Instagram post about the movie making some incredible points, one off witch was that Mei is a terrible role model. She draws pictures of sexy men furiously, she twerks and gyrates, and its all encouraged. She's just not a likeable character. My friend brought up a fair point that kids should be able to just be kids and this film doesn't let that happen. She also isn't that likable of a character, and now that I think about it, pretty much all the characters are unlikable except Abby, Meg, the Dad, Priya, and Aaron and even Mei's friends though fun are not good role models. Yes Pixar does tell stories with very mature messages and subject matters, but there universal and ones that everyone can understand and aren't inappropriate. This has mature subject matter, but its not appropriate for kids. The reason they can't get away with stuff like this is because Pixar makes movies for everyone, for the family and having this in there does not make it family friendly and because people know its a Pixar movie and they make movies for everyone, of course they will watch it with there kids. If they made it PG-13 then it could've worked cause then parents would know there isn't really the best stuff in here for kids. There are great things in the movie though, not having to do with the story. The animation is great. For the past three movies, Pixar has been playing with there animation. Soul had 2d lines around the characters in the soul world, and Luca had a very cute, 2d, Miyazakiesque, Looney Tunesesque, Stop Motionesque look. Turning Red is very much anime inspired. There eyes get big when there excited, sometimes there are hearts in there eyes, everything looks cute. It has a beautiful pastel look to it! With the reds and pinks! Aww its beautiful! That's probably only some of the only good stuff in the movie. Turning Red however is not that great.

 24: Lightyear

Lightyear was fine. It has some great stuff like the animation is some off Pixar's best. The take on Buzz is great, Sox and Darby steal the show and are hysterical. All the callbacks to Toy Story and its 80's-90's feel are fantastic. Even though I LOVE Tim Allen in the role as Buzz, I actually thought Chris Evans did a fantastic job! Though I did miss Tim. The time travel stuff is cool! However, Zurg was not great. The twist sucked and no its not what your thinking. However, I thought that when Zurg is in his suit, his voice didn't really sound menacing enough. However, most of the stuff they do with the story is fun. Also, Disney is very much trying to get there woke agenda out and its getting to a point where like my little brothers couldn't come and see it. But though it has problems, it' still a fun film!

23: Brave

How did this win over Wreck it Ralph? I get that this was the first Pixar film to be directed by a women and to have a female protagonists, but that shouldn't just be the reason why a film should win. I'm happy it won, but I feel like it was just because. It has to have a good story to, not just a list off first. This one isn't as strong. However, considering that this was a film that had a difficult production, there are surprisingly a lot of things to like. Merida is a great protagonists, the animations great, and the  relationship between the mom and Merida is great. I like how the mom is a main part of the story and isn't dead like most Disney moms. The lore is interesting and the ending is gripping! I do however feel like it should've been longer and have more action but the more that I think about it, the more I think that there are a lot of good things in this film. It's just not my faviorite. The more that I think about it, even though that this film isn't as good as Wreck it Ralph, I can see why it won.

22: A Bug's Life

This isn't Pixar's most thought provoking, emotional, or original being a pretty cliched movie. However with its charm, great humor, fantastic characters, and great animation make this one a winner. It's sad how nobody talks about this movie anymore. I should do an underrated animation review on this. I really like how funny this one is! The humor is so well written and put together. I really like the world. The Villian, Hopper, is like most Pixar villain's, great. Overall just a good movie, definitely not Pixar's most memorable, but still a good film. I Haven't seen this one in a while. I might watch it again to maybe put it higher.

22: Cars 3

Cars 3 is good. Yeah, I thought it was a great way to end the franchise. The whole electric car thing replacing old cars is really interesting.  This one does feel more like the og, but it is different enough to be its on thing. My friend Abby can do a great Ms. Fritter impression. I'm glad they shifted its focus back to Lightning McQueen and racing instead of Mater and spy cars. Overall, a very good ending to the trilogy.

20: The Good Dinosaur

The Good Dinosaur is underrated. There really is something about this film that I love. This is another Pixar film that went through a difficult production and it came out pretty good on the other end. First of all, the animation looks real. Like not the characters because there cartoony looking but dang! This is some of the best. Look at these for a second.

If I didn't tell you this was animated, chances are you'd think this is real! Maybe. I hope so. I think it looks real. The cool thing about the animation is that the people at Pixar know that this looks real, so they make the characters really cartoony looking to remind you that this is animation. Arlo and Spot are ridiculously likable characters. Spot being like the cutest dang thing ever. Spot makes this movie! The whole boy and his dog story reversed is very clever. I love that at first he doesn't like him because he is partially to blame for a traumatic thing in Arlo's life and it's handled really well. The moral is something I wish they talk about more! Usually its about Believing in yourself and all that crap! Not here!  I love the concept of dinosaurs not going extinct and that the dinosaurs are like country folk developing speech and there own little primal, country society. You would think that with a story with dinosaurs not going extinct they would have cars and stuff but they take a much more original approach. There are a lot of moments in this film with no dialogue and it works perfectly. The problem I have with it is it is kind've cliched. But there is a good reason. Nature is the villian in the film because Arlo is scared of it because something happened to him that was caused by nature, so it helps the story even if we have seen what that thing is that I can't say. Also, surprise surprise, I cried. Overall, this isn't Pixar's best, but gosh darn it is still such a well made, good film that deserves more love.

19: Monsters University

I wish this one was more emotional like the fist one. The first one made me cry like a baby. Not this one. Its still great though! I love the whole idea they have to go to college to learn how to be scarers. Mike is much better as a main character then Mater because it tells a better story and his character development that he has here shows through in Monsters Inc. We also see because of Mike, Sully is the monster he is. It's really interesting to see Sully as a jerk and not the lovable kitty we all know. But because of Mike, we see him grow. They both grow. as characters and its really cool to see.  The message is awesome as well and one that you don't see to much off. Also the Oozma Kappa group is so funny and just got so much of the laughs. Overall, a decent film.

18: Incredibles 2

After 14 years of waiting, we finally got a sequel and it was sorta worth the wait. The animation is gorgeous and the whole idea of Bob staying at home with the kids is hilarious. This one does have a bit in common with the original like the parent leaving to do work, the cliffhanger ending,  Bob asking Edna for help in the middle, and the twist villian that doesn't have super powers. That's kinda a downside. However, there are enough differences in it to have its own voice. Speaking of the villian, the villian isn't as interesting as Syndrome. Still a good villian though.  Jack Jack shines in this movie probably being the best part of the movie. Overall, a good but familiar sequel.

17: Finding Dory

Finding Dory is how you do a sequel where the main character was a side character in the previous film, Unlike Cars 2! This expands Dory's arc from the first one and concludes it as well as everyone else's.  It also answers the question on what Dory was looking for in the first film. This film gives us clues on how she lost her family through flashbacks and it does this very well! Almost like a reverse Finding Nemo, instead of a parent looking for his kid, its a kid looking for his parents. Originally, Finding Nemo was going to tell us how Marlin lost his wife through flashbacks over the course of the movie, but because for most of that version of the film we don't understand why he is such a overprotective basket case. So they told us what happened in the beginning to help us relate to Marlin. The director, Andrew Stanton, really wanted to use flashbacks as a storytelling device for a movie. He finally got a chance to do so with this film. The flashbacks in Finding Dory are her regaining memories of her past and we are seeing them with her. Its just great storytelling. Of course I cried. Its a very emotional story just like the first one. The one problem I have is that there is no Tank Gang! Are they still floating in bags in the middle of the ocean somewhere? You might be wondering why this movie is called Finding Dory when it really isn't about her getting lost. Sure she's separated from the group, but its called Finding Dory not for that reason, its called Finding Dory cause she's finding herself. Honestly tho, the seals are the best part of the movie.

Still a good villian though.  Jack Jack shines in this movie probably being the best part of the movie. Overall, a good but familiar sequel.

16: Cars

Basically my childhood, Cars is fantastic. It is sharply written with really clever gags and just a great sense of humor.  The cast of characters are so great and the whole concept is very Pixar. Though it isn't as emotional or as thought provoking as other Pixar films, like its just so much fun. The sequels never really seemed to recapture the magic the closest being Cars 3. This one is just timeless and will leave smiling.

15: Onward

This film brought Pixar back to making original films and man! It started with a bang! This movie brings back what made Pixar Pixar. It has a incredible story, great animation, and an incredibly emotional story that had me bawling in the theater. This movie is really special to me because this movie is a lot about dads and brothers, I went to see this with my dad and my two little brothers on my dads birthday on the first day it came out! It also was a few days before covid hit so we where able to watch it in theaters before the world shut down. I love the concept! It is WILDLY original and the epiphany at the end only makes the film better! I love the whole idea of a fantasy world that forgot how to use magic so they replaced it with technology! I LOVE THAT! The creativity in this film has no end and it is just a spectacular movie.

14: Toy Story 3

This poster sums up the movie perfectly. This film is an emotional rollercoaster. Fun, Horrifying, Heartbreaking, Brilliant. Toy Story 3 was nominated for Best Picture like Up and it should've one. It is a masterpiece of the highest caliber. The only reason I put this one kind of low is because this kind of movie you watch once because of how scary and heartbreaking this is. I mean, that monkey scares the crap out of me! He was horrifying! You know he's a real toy! Yeah, that's right! The toy was crafted in hell by Lucifer himself, using the soul of a demon possesed monkey that had passed away. His eyes and cymbals where forged in the lake of fire! The climax of the film is scary as well! But most of all, out of all the Pixar films, this one made me cry the most. There where three moments in this film that made me bawl! Like rivers of tears. Two out of the three times I cried was at the end. Best ending to a film ever. Aww its beautiful! Best ending to a franchise. Or so we thought! Oh and the opening is so cool! Oh and Spanish Buzz and the opening are fantastic!

13: Toy Story 4

Wow. Everyone thought that Toy Story 3 has the perfect ending, but then Toy Story 4 came out and crafted an ending that we all didn't think could happen! This ending is actually  better then the ending in Toy Story 3! It elevates the ending of Toy Story 3. HOW! HOW WHERE THEY ABLE TO COME UP WITH THAT INCREDIBLE OF AN ENDING WHEN TOY STORY  3 SEEMED TO END IT ALL READY? CAUSE THERE PIXAR AND THERE AMAZING AND THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING! And yes, I cried. Like a LOT. In the theater but I didn't care, cause it was beautiful. I wish I could tell you why but I really don't want to spoil anything because its perfect. Where do I begin! I love where they took Woody in this one. They put all of his philosophies into question when he is reunited with Bo who is completely different. By the way, I loved that they brought Bo Peep back and given her a bigger role. I hated how she wasn't in Toy Story 3. This one I can watch more than Toy Story 3 because it isn't as scary so that's a plus. However it does have its scary moments. This one feels like all of the toy story films rolled into one. Its got the scary toys from Toy Story 1 and 3,  the humor and scope of the 2 one, The new toy like in Toy Story 1 (which Woody reacts different then he acted towards Buzz because character development), and the emotional moments like in pretty much all of them. But it also manages to be its own thing. Also, Gabby Gabby is not only the best villian in the Toy Story franchise, but also one of the best Pixar villains of all time! She isn't even that villainous, you actually really feel for her and her motivations and goals aren't evil, she's just doing it in a hostile way. Gabby Gabby is one of the best parts of the movie. I love Duke Caboom as well I think he is a riot and Ducky and Bunny are hilarious as well! Oh, and Forky is an absolute legend! Dang it! I also like how this one isn't as high stakes as Toy Story 3. Its a bit more laid back. This film wrapped everything up and went full circle and tied everything in a nice neat bow. Dang it! This film was so well thought out and crafted to perfection! And even though It won over Klaus and I wish Klaus won, I'm still very happy that this won because it did the impossible, crafted a perfect end to the greatest movie franchise ever made when we thought we already had it. Go watch it!

12: Inside Out

Inside Out is everything I could ever want in a Pixar film. Its creative, emotional, and the older I get, the more I understand it. When I saw it in the theater, I definitely got choked up at this one but I didn't like bawl. I think because I was younger I didn't fully grasp how important the message is. I was more surprised at what happened and didn't believe what just happened to cry all the way. But I didn't get choked up. The world looks beautiful, I mean the colors just pop! It is so visually breathtaking! the characters are so likeable, the story off course is great, its laugh at loud funny, its probably one off the most Pixaresque movies Pixar ever made. I could relate to Riley a lot cause she moved and I experienced some of the things she was feeling. Bing Bong is one off the best characters ever and this film is oozing with so much creativity! An absolute joy and a masterpiece that you should watch.

11: Finding Nemo

This is when we start getting to masterpiece level stuff! The first Pixar film (out of 11) to win the academy award for Best Animated Feature, Finding Nemo is a Pixar classic and its very easy to see why this one won. It is just a really fun, really well put together film. Off course it moved me to tears. I'm gonna sound like a broken record by the time I'm done this. The characters in this are fantastic and super creative and the writing is great, especially when it comes to the jokes. Of course, how could we talk about Finding Nemo without the best part of the movie, Dory. She is so funny. Ellen DeGeneres KILLLS IT as Dory adding so much to the character. Not just with humor, but with emotion as well! I LOVE the tank gang as well. They are  just such a colorful, eccentric, group of characters. The sharks and seagulls are  hilarious as well. Just the characters are some of Pixar's best. You know what else is crazy, how this movie came out in 2003 and the animation is absolutely awe inspiring. Finding Nemo is a great film that has a great story that will make you cry, characters that are funny and heartwarming, and stunning animation.

10: Monsters Inc

This film is endlessly creative in so many ways. Pete Doctor's (Up, Inside Out, Soul) directorial debut was the first Pixar film to not be directed by John Lasseter (Toy Story, Cars). A lot was riding on Pete's shoulders, and he did it in flying colors. Not only is this film clever, funny, and creative, but its also one of the most heart wrenching Pixar films. I bawled. The ending is fantastic. Which makes sense since Pete Doctor did Up, Soul, and Inside Out. It is such a beautiful movie. I think Mike and Sully are great main characters and John Goodman as Sully and Billy Crystal as Mike works perfectly and its some of the best voice acting in animation ever. The villains are some of the best Pixar has to offer. Its just an OUSTANDING movie!

9: Soul

Pete Doctor is the best director working in film today period. His movies go where animation usually doesn't go. Where other studios are animated making movies about yellow pills, my man Pete Doctor is making animated family movies about emotions, grief, and now the meaning of life! Pete Doctor is also a Christian which makes me like him even more! What is incredible about this movie is that it talks about the meaning of life but it doesn't point to a religion. Its up to the audience to decide where we go when we die or who creates us. We don't see the person that makes the little souls that run around or we don't see what the great beyond actually is. One off my friend's mom was talking to me about the movie and she said the movie is pro life because it shows that we are alive before where born. That just makes the movie even better and it makes sense because Pete Doctor is a Christian and Christians are usually pro life. I don't know if that was the thought process, but maybe! This movie honestly made me look at life differently and I'm not gonna spoil how. Honestly I feel like teens and parents are gonna get it more then kids! This movie had me bawling when the message hit me like a punch to the gut. BAWLING! Another thing I want to talk about is that this is some of the best animation ever! Ever since Spiderverse came out, we have gotten animated films that look different and this is no exception when we get into the world of the souls, there is 2d lines around the characters because they are literally souls. We can't see them. so they put lines around them and everything and its just gorgeous! Also, the human world looks real! Its just stunning! And also, the characters feel very real and very multilayered. Joe is a very very relatable character and you get where he is coming from and you can put yourself in his shoes. 22 is also ve3ry relatable. I realize that this one is going on pretty long so I will wrap up. Once again, this is a winner.

8: Luca

This is Pixar's most chilled film ever. Gosh where do I begin! So, those off you who know me, know that I am obsessed with Studio Ghibli. This film has Ghibli vibes throughout and I think that it is one off the main reasons I love it soooooo much, because I love Ghibli soooooo much! I love Ghibli for there laid back tone, there appreciation of the beauty of the mundane, the aww inspiring feel, the slice of life type off story, characters that are literally happy all the time, and kids as the main characters and that's all the stuff I love about Luca. It's like Ponyo meets Porco Russo. So yes, the way I'd describing it does sound like Pixar just ripping off Studio Ghibli but that is so far from it.  Pixar manages to not only pay homage to the greatest studio in the world with its Ghibliesque tone but it also manages to feel very Pixar. So its like this mix of the two greatest studios in the world! The characters are some off Pixars most loveable! I always found that I gravitated more towards stories with kids as the main characters and that's one reason why I love Ghibli, and Luca is no different. The characters feel very much like actual kids. They talk like kids, they overexaggerate, they pick there ears and flick it away! I found myself relating to the two main characters more than any other Pixar characters. Luca is the side of me that is the idea man and the curious one, who takes in everything and just is amazed about everything! He is also a bit nervous at times. Alberto on the other hand is impulsive, outgoing, funny, and confident and helps Luca get over his fears. I am pretty much both of them. Ercole is one of the best Pixar villian ever and you can't tell me other wise. Once again, ever since Spiderverse, other studios have done different animation styles to there films and Luca once again is no exception. It feels very  Miyazakiesque. It has a 2d and stop motion feel to it and the character designs are adorable! It feels very childlike but in such a beautiful way! It looks like no other Pixar film and It is one off Pixars most beautiful films yet!  This movie off course has such a tear-jerking ending that is so heartwarming and beautiful. Luca is a film that I cannot recommend enough. I was pretty upset when this lost the golden globe (which should've gone to Mitchells vs the Machines anyway if it was nominated) but no!!! It had to go to Encanto which lets face it is another Frozen situation where people obsess over a movie that is just good but nothing groundbreaking. Anyway, Luca is a PHENOMENAL film and deserves your attention right now!

7: Toy Story 2

Toy Story 2 is how you do a sequel. It is the best animated sequel and quite possibly the greatest sequel off all time! I'll tell you this straight up, its definitely the best Pixar sequel! They upped the story, the arcs, the stakes, and the animation. Its amazing how well thought out this franchise is! Its insane that this movie is as good as it is considering the crazy production it went through. We have incredible new characters in this one with Jessie being a standout! I cried at Jessie's song of course. Also, this one is the funniest Toy Story film. The jokes in this one are ridiculously clever, sharp, witty, and smart! Its also balanced that out with great heart and emotion. There are so many creative scenes in this to! Honestly, the places the characters visit in this one are super big in scope and very clever! Like the inside of the elevator, the shafts, the luggage depot, Toy Story 2 goes bigger! The animation drastically improved upon the original. Not that the original had bad animation. Toy Story 2 is a sequel that lives up to the predecessor in every conceivable way and is one of the GREATEST FILMS EVER MADE.

6: Coco

And to think I actually doubted this movie. Yeah! That's right! I wasn't that excited about Coco when it came out. I saw the trailer for it in the movie theater and my grandma said that it looked demonic cause its about Dias Do Muertos and that kinda made me not excited for it. But then I saw it. I will never doubt a Pixar movie for the rest of my life.  I remember the first time I watched it with my family in the living room. I had relatives over and we watched it. At the end, the room was silent, we where all crying. Pixar just knows how to make an audience cry. I loved the film so much, we watched it again the next day! I cannot put into words how unbelievably magnificent this film is! This is another Pixar film that should've gotten a best picture nomination. Seriously! Pixar can do no wrong! First off all, the film looks gorgeous! Once again, Pixar knocks out off the part with a gorgeous color palette of oranges, purples, pinks, greens, yellows! Oh just so lush and beautiful. It almost looks like candy! This is once again one off Pixars most beautiful looking films! This film also has an original, heartwarming, and fun story that is about family which a lot off animated films talk about, but I don't think any other does it as well as Coco, and also Coco has a different lesson about family that other animated films don't talk about. It also talks about things like remembrance, acceptance, and forgiveness and it makes for one off Pixar's most emotional films. The characters are great ESPECIALLY the villian, he is one of Pixar's best villains ever! Miguel is also a very relatable character, Hector and Dante provide some great comedy and so do some off the extended family members. There are a lot off twists in this film that makes it so interesting and just completely throws some off the things we thought we knew on its head! Some off the best twists ever! I also love how Mexican it is! There are a lot of Mexican celebrities like Frida Kahlo that the characters meet on there journey. The beautiful culture of Mexico feels like it just will explode out off the screen! It is just such a beautiful love letter to the culture and the people. I also like how the movie honors those who have died and its more of a celebration of the people who have passed own and to remember how wonderful they where. It is not dark and demonic like my grandma thought. I cannot stress enough how good it is. It is an absolute masterpiece that deserves to be remembered.

5: Ratatouille

A film that feels like the equivalent of eating a delicious meal. Ratatouille feels like a work off art. It is masterclass filmmaking from one of Pixar's best directors and one of my faviorite directors, Brad Bird. It is such a creative and unique film that is EXTREMLY original and so well made. The animation is also beautiful especially for the human characters. Humans in computer animation where really hard to do in computer animation in the 2000s. The food also looks SO good to!! It makes me hungry! The film is also SUPER funny with great jokes and great smart comedy and just great writing not just on the comedic side, but also in general. The characters are super lovable, especially Anton Ego who is a super interesting character with such a commanding presence. The voice acting is great to! Linguini and Emille where actually voiced by people in the studio! The whole movie is a MASTERPIECE.

6: The Incredibles

One off the greatest superhero movies (and movies) ever made, The Incredibles was one off those movies where everything it does, just works. The writing is razor sharp, with perfect pacing, perfect dialogue, and a story that is INCREDIBLY original that is very mature for a family film and it works and I really appreciate the level of maturity in the film without being in your face inappropriate like Turning Red! The animation is also amazing for the time and is not dated. There are plenty of INCREDIBLE films that have bad animation or effects. What makes it even more amazing is that everything in the film was hard to do at the time. Humans, hair, wet hair, hair in the wind, fire, explosion, water, ice, clothes, and wet clothes. It is INCREDIBLE! The whole film, to put it simply is...INCREDIBLE.

3: Wall-e

This film, feels more like an independent film than Ratatouille! I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF THIS FILM! What is makes this film so special is that for the first 40 minutes of the film has barely ANY DIALOUGUE. It is through pure visual storytelling that we know what is going on. Especially in the first couple minutes. Where told just by the visuals and the things in the surroundings like an old add and newspaper exactly what is going on. Now, I feel like if another studio made a movie where half off the movie is silent and the other half has talking in it, they would screw it up! But not Pixar! Walle is one of the most likable characters Pixar has created. His relationship with Eve is beautiful and really shows that even things that aren't alive can be human. When we do get to the talking parts with the human characters, it isn't annoying, its actually shocking where it goes and its shocking when we get there how different it is from earth and the talking plays a part in how different it is from earth. It gives us a dark and very probable look into our future. Walle is one off the most unique films I have ever seen and one off the best films! The films Pixar make really shift what we are used to in animated films. This is another one that should've gotten a nom for Best Picture! And yes...it made me cry.

2: Up

Just thinking about this movie makes me get choked up. I know I say this a lot but this is one of my faviorite films. It is crafted to absolute perfection. I cannot stress that enough. Lets talk about the elephant in the room, the first 10 minutes. The best opening to a movie EVER! It shows the life of this couple and it feels like you where life long friends. Wall-e felt like a test to prepare us for the no talking in this film. Most of the first ten minutes have no talking and because of this, it is more emotional. I didn't bawl at the opening, but I did get misty eyed. It was beautiful.  It was the ending I bawled at (which also is silent) because the opening of the film comes full circle at the end and makes the opening even more emotional then it already was. Without the opening, the ending would still be sad but it wouldn't have been as sad. This and Wall-e showcases some off the best uses of visual storytelling ever. The characters make it more emotional as well. Carl is one of the most likable characters Pixar has ever created. Russel, Doug, and Kevin are AMAZING side characters with all three of them adding much needed humor to the film. That's another thing I like about the film it balances its humor and emotion perfectly. The villian is one off Pixar's absolute best for just how horrifying he is! Pixar is really good at crafting villains huh? Oh and also, the look of this movie is amazing! The character designs are incredible and the animation elevates it to perfection. The concept for the movie is so unique and so Pixar and the fact that there is a reason for such a unique concept just makes the story even better. Pete Doctor knocks it WAAAAYYY out off the park with this one makes it one of Pixar's best and one of the greatest films ever made.

1: Toy Story

That's right folks, Pixar's first film still is there best. The one that started it all. What is there to say. I don't think there is a movie that does everything perfectly. Pacing, characters, story, writing, dialogue. It is very funny dialogue and writing I might add. EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING WORKS TO PERFECTION! And for being the first computer animated film, the animation still holds up pretty well (except the human characters, but that doesn't really matter in my eyes). Tom Hanks and Tim Allen kill it as Woody and Buzz and the side characters are really fun. The story off course being Pixar is ridiculously creative and unique. This film set the standard for Pixar films. I also really like that for most of the movie, the side characters don't like Woody because they think he did something awful on purpose when it was an accident. I think that's a great way to make us root for him because he was being a jerk because of his jealousy towards Buzz. And he is just a big tyrant.  Also making it an accident helps to. Off course I cried. Yeah this one isn't as emotional, but because of nostalgia, I cried. It started the greatest franchise EVER! What else is there to say!
