Blue Sky Studios, Shut down by Disney

Blue Sky Studios, the studio behind Ice Age, Rio, Spies in Disguise, Horton Hears a Who, and the Peanuts Movie has been shut down by Disney! The icing on the cake though, is that Disney cancelled there last film Nimona (based on the comic of the same name) was cancelled by Disney with only 10 months of production left!! That's cold. The employees of Blue Sky are being impacted to different parts of the Disney company like Disney Animation or Pixar. If I was them, I'd go somewhere else

For those of you who don't know, Disney bought Fox a few years back. With that buy, they got the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Deadpool, The Simpsons, and Blue Sky. The only movie Blue Sky made under Disney's wing was Spies in Disguise. So why did Disney shut down a absolutely fantastic studio in the first place. Covid. Yep. It turns out, Disney does not have the kind of money they used to have and now are unable to own three animation studios. So they axed this one.

This is heartbreaking! Blue Sky was a big part of my childhood! I used to watch (and still do) the Ice Age movies, Rio, and Horton when I was little and now they took it away! My heart goes out to all of the people at Blue Sky. I thank them so much for giving us some of the best animated films ever and for entertaining millions of people. I hope they are successful in the years to come, I hope the people continue working in the industry and keep entertaing us. Mr. Blue Sky, everybody smiles at you.
