Review: The Mitchells vs the Machines: The Best Movie of the YEAR!!! I laughed until it Hurt

 



    I wish I reviewed this movie sooner cause MAN!!! This is not only the best movie of the year, its one off the BEST AND FUNNIEST FILMS EVER MADE!!!!!

    The story is so emotional, fun, and so FUNNY! I mean, what do you expect if the director was a writer on Gravity Falls, Mike Rianda, and the people who made Spiderverse and the Lego Movie, Phil Lord and Chris Miller! You know its gonna be gold. And that's what this movie is. The writing in this film is so phenomenal with jokes that are sharp, witty, clever, and smart with characters we can really care about. I love the story and how its about two different generations learning to connect and how the movie is an allegory on how technology can tear us apart and bring us together. I love all the characters. Especially the dog Monchi, Katie's little brother Aaron, and the broken down robots that join them on there quest, Eric and Deborahbot 5000. Those guys stole the show!! I LOVE the villian PAL! She is fabulous in every scene she is in! Its funny how she's a phone. I think that is hysterical! I can see my family in each character. Katie is like me and my sister Penelope. Rick is like my Dad. Linda is like my Mom and my Nana. Aaron is like my little brother Simon. My dog Roxy and my grandparent's Stella remind me of the Mitchell's dog, Monchi. There is so many funny parts in this movie, I don't where to begin! THE FURBY SCENE WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE GREATEST SCENES IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA. Oh its glorious! How did this movie get made! They let them get away with so many things that other studios would never let them do! Everything from the humor, to the exceptional writing, to the animation! Oh the animation is STUNNING! It has the watercolor, messy line quality to it to show the messiness of the humans, and the robots are symmetrical, with straight lines that show that the robots are "perfect". Katie is a filmmaker in the movie and it looks like she worked on it because there are little 2D drawings on the side that express the characters emotions or are just there for a gag. She puts those little drawings on the side in her movies to. The character design I love. The animation is unlike anything I have ever seen!!! Its some off the best animation I have ever seen!!! I love the real relationship that Katie and her dad Rick have, its so real and it made me get choked up! Yeah, not only is it hilarious, its emotional! 

    I don't want to give to much of it away but this movie, I HIGHLY recommend. This is a film I would tell people to see if they don't like animation. Its one of my all time faviorite films now!!! It really is! Its everything I want to see in a movie and more!! If you haven't watched this movie yet, turn Infinity War off and go watch ART!!!! If this film doesn't win best animated feature, I'm gonna throw a brick at the tv. And you if you don't watch this movie! I'm gonna get in trouble for saying that. Oh man!!!!!     I like how this movie breaks the clichés, like the brother and sister not getting along cliché. Here, there like best friends! Its kind of like me and my sister.

Underrated Animation: Looney Tunes: Back in Action: One of the best live action/animation hybrid movies ever

    Looney Tunes Back in Action is outstanding! It is  very underrated! It is a lot like Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Mary Poppins where it combines 2d hand drawn animation and live action. The movie combines everything I love about Looney Tunes and more with monsters, spy's, Steve Martin, Westerns, Adventure films, and everything else I love. The interactions between the animated characters and the human characters are amazing, very fun to look at, here is an example.      The animation is gorgeous, oh and also, IT IS HILARIOUS! I was dying of laughter! It gets the personalities of the looney tunes characters down. Tons of looney tunes and movie references that I love! Making fun of product placement! Animated Films with stylized animation (and how they did it)

 I got a ton of reviews for movies and shows that I wanna do but I feel like I've been doing a lot of reviews lately, so I'm gonna do this instead. It gives me a little else to talk about. Today I'm gonna talk about movies with animation that looks like nothing we've seen before and how they did it. I also put videos so you can see the process. Spider-Man into the Spiderverse Spider-Man into the Spiderverse is a groundbreaking film in many ways. But one reason is because of its incredible animation! How they made the computer animation look like a comic book is amazing! How they did it is they put a lot of 2-D lines on the characters face. Look closely on Miles' face, see how the wrinkles on his forehead look hand drawn. They also animated most of the movie on twos, which means that they are 12 frames of animation in one second instead of the 24 frames of animation in one second which is used in most animated films.
