Avatar: The Last Airbender Live Action Cast and Crew Revealed!!!!

I had my doubts about the series since the original creators of  Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konieztko, left the live action Avatar show on Netflix (then made Avatar Studios witch is where I wanna work), but this gets my hopes up! Not only that, but the new creative team has been revealed as well! Aang will be played by Gordon Cormier (The Stand, Lost in Space), Katarra will be played by Kiawentiio (Anne with an E, Beans) Sokka will be played by Ian Ousley (13 Reasons Why, Big Shot) and Zuko will be played by Dallas Liu (Shang Chi and the Legend Ten Rings). The showrunner will be Albert Kim(Sleepy Hollow). The executive producers include Dan Lin (The Lego Movie, Aladdin) Lindsey Liberatore (Walker), Michael Goi (Swamp Thing), and Roseanne Liang (Shadow in the Cloud). Michael Goi and Roseanne Liang will also direct episodes along with Jabbar Raisani (Lost in Space) and Dan Lin will also write a few of the episodes. Here is what Albert Kim had to say about the show.

“A live-action version would establish a new benchmark in representation and bring in a whole new generation of fans,” Kim wrote. “This was a chance to showcase Asian and Indigenous characters as living, breathing people. Not just in a cartoon, but in a world that truly exists, very similar to the one we live in.”

The guy who will played Zuko said he is "honored" to play Zuko. "Honored" is a nod to Zuko's line in the series, "I must capture the avatar to restore my honor." I thought that was funny.

Overall, the cast looks great and the crew seems like they know what there doing, but I'm still upset at Netflix for not believing in Mike and Bryan's vision. And I don't like how the guy said "cartoon" because when I hear cartoon, I'm thinking stuff for kids. Avatar is much, much more then a "cartoon." I get what he's saying though. I don't think anything, and I mean  ANYTHING can ever hold a candle to the original. Not even it's sequel Korra, though very good, couldn't quite live up to it.  This live action show may turn out great, but we all know which one will be better. A lot of these live action/remakes just make me want to see the original, and that's probably what will happen hear.
