Overly Animated

      Pixar has just announced there next film and I'm SOOOOO EXCITED!!! Its called Elemental and it takes place in a city filled with beings made up off the 4 elements. Water, Earth, Fire, and Air and it focuses on Wade, a go with the flow kinda guy made off water, and Ember, a hotheaded girl made off fire and how they realize they have a lot more in common then they thought. Its directed by Peter Sohn who previously Directed the hilarious Pixar short Partly Cloudy about a cloud and a Stork, and The Good Dinosaur. He also did the voice of Emille in Ratatouille, Squishy in Monsters University, that weird dinosaur with the animals in The Good Dinosaur, Ciccio in Luca, and Sox in the upcoming Lightyear. Its produced by Denis Ream, who previously worked with Sohn as a producer of The Good Dinosaur and also (unfortunately) Cars 2.       Pencilish is on a role, first with the absolutely delightful Bjorn, and now the equally amazing Mind Over Murphy which tells the story of a man named Murphy and his Brain who's follows him around giving him terrible advice. One of the many things I love about the show is how it depicts are thought process in such a creative and hysterical way!! Like for example, Murphy's trying to decide what to do tonight so Brain makes it like a game show or Brain tells him memories like its a bedtime story. THE PEOPLE AT PENCILISH ARE GENIUSES!! Already they have these shows with such unique and original and creative premises!! THE PRODUCTION DESIGN IN THIS SHOW IS NEXT LEVEL GUYS!!! It reminds me of Maurice Noble, who did backgrounds for Looney Tunes, with its bold and beautiful color and simple shapes. The character designs also has that Noble sensibility with the colors and shapes. What I like about the character designs is that the characters are like purple or orange or blue...

           A lot off you probably know that I play Theo in the upcoming storyboard pilot and final college project of animator Madi Williams, but do you know how I got there. Let me tell you the incredible story of how I became Theo.      So I follow the animator Madi Williams. I found out about her through the studio that she interns at, Pencilish. I found out about Pencilish through The Bancroft Brothers Animation Podcast which is also where I found out about the school Madi goes to and where one of the brothers, Tom, teaches, Lipcomb, which is a Christian liberal arts college. One day I saw a post on her Instagram that honestly changed my life.
