This is a Sad day for Animation

The Mitchells vs the Machines lost the Oscar to Encanto. No surprise there. Encanto was so popular. But what's the better film? Mitchells!!!! It literally pushes the boundaries of animation to bold places and does something different where Encanto is literally just a paint by numbers Disney film! The animation is unique, the story is incredible, and the characters are so lovable!!!! It literally is CINEMA. Not only is it the best animated film of the year, its one of the best FILMS period! This is just another instance where the Oscars don't care and just pick the film that's the most popular. They don't even watch them!!! This is Klaus losing all over again! THE OSCARS FAVORS DISNEY. Honestly, who cares awards. People make there own opinions and they don't need an award to determine that.

Pencilish Animation: Changing the Animation Game

For those of you who don't know, Pencilish Animation Studios. The first crowd funded animation studio which means it was invested in by fans like you and me! The CEO Tom Bancroft, was an animator that worked at Disney. Through my voice acting gig on the storyboard pilot, Redcapes, I've gotten to know a lot of the animators working there, including the creator of Redcapes, Madi Williams. The other animators I've gotten to know are Joel Guthrie, Grace Kwock, Audrey Witherspoon, Aurora Joy (she doesn't work at Pencilish but she is an animator), and Josie Clark. All incredibly talented, kind, and just all around outstanding people!!! They are making a couple of new shows. The one show they are making right now is called Bjorn the Last Unicorn which is about a unicorn who finds out about social media and decides to become a pet influencer like those pets you see on Instagram. The other shows they are working on sound amazing as we...

Disney Hates Pixar

Image
So I'm sure some of you noticed that Disney has been putting Pixar's films straight to Disney Plus with no extra cost right? This might seem all well and good but it definitely isn't.       The last three Pixar films, (Soul, Luca, and Turning Red) have all been released on Disney Plus for free. For Soul it made sense. People weren't comfortable to go to the theater quite yet. But for Luca and Turning Red? No! They came out at a time when people where starting to go back to theaters!     Another reason, Disney has been releasing there other films in theaters and on Disney Plus with premier access where you have to pay for them.  I know the whole thing that there free is great, but other Disney movies that are being released on Disney Plus have premier access are also in theaters and at home, so those who don't feel comfortable to go to the theater can watch it at home while others could go to the theater if they feel comfortable. Wh...
