Over the Moon Review: A beautiful but cliched film
So, I finally watched Over the Moon about a month ago with my lil bros and I liked it! It was fine. So I don't know if you remember, but I put the trailer on here a while ago so if you want to check that out if you can. Anyway, I just wanna say, this is one of the most beautifully animated films of all time. The colors, the lighting, the textures. So beautiful. I also oved the authenticity of it. This film is set in china and they do a great job at representing there culture. However the movie is a bit familiar, in the sense that it has animal sidekicks, and songs like an animated Disney movie and talks about death and grief and makes you cry like a Pixar movie. That's not really a bad thing because it makes sense because it was directed by legendary Disney Animator Glen Keane, but I just wish there was more originality in its story.
