Animated Films that went through Difficult Productions Part 1

Image
Animated films take along time to make, but some of them, took to long, lets take a look at some of those films. Sleepy Beauty     Now there wouldn't be a list of animated films that went through difficult productions without talking about Sleepy Beauty. Sleepy Beauty took 8 years to make! It had the most expensive budget of any Disney film at the time with a budget of $1 million which today, that would equal to $68 million dollars! Back then, $1 million was very expensive to make a movie. Know, animated movies cost up to 100 million to 200 million! Because of the massive budget, Disney layed off tons of his animation employees. The animation personnel went from 551 to 75! Disney was also very busy with the parks and TV shows at the time so he was barely there to help like he used to.  It was announced in 1950, it began production in 1951 and then it was finally finished in 1959 to poor reviews and was a bomb at the box office and wasn't able to r...

New Avatar Studios opened to develop New Avatar: The Last Airbender content!

Image
This is the greatest news eveeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!! The creators of Avatar opened up this brand new animation studio Avatar Studios, solely to making Avatar and Korra content!!!! Thats amazing!!!!!! Wait, it gets better, the first thing this studio is working on is an animated Avatar movie that will be released in theaters and on different streaming platforms!!!! They are also working on a THIRD Avatar show!!! The production of the film is set to start at the end of this year.  This is amazing news in many ways, but one way this is great is because of the sad thing that happened last year. The original creators Micheal Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko where making a live action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender for Netflix, but they left due to creative differences and started this studio! A similar thing happened when they where making a live action MOVIE adaptation of Avatar. They weren't allowed to take charge of the film, only allowed to ...

New pictures to the the loooooooooooonnnng awaited follow up to space jam starring  Lebron James, Space Jam: A New Legacy, have been released on a magazine called Entertainment Weekly! Here are the pictures down below.     And yes, that's the guy who plays War Machine. There was this other pic, but I had some trouble getting it up. Also, a few weeks ago, there was a 2 second long snippet shown of the film on an HBO Max trailer. I decided not to show that because 1, It was like very short, and 2, I'm to lazy. However, I'll do you one better, I'll have Lebron James, Don Cheadle (the guy who plays War Machine), and whoever this kid is, explain the plot of the movie, with a little snippet, longer then the snippet shown a few weeks ago.     Guys, I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited, beyond excited! I grew up with Space Jam! I love Space Jam! I have heard rumors for a long time if there was going to be a...

Underrated Animation: Earwig and the Witch: Not Bad! Stupid internet people.

Image
I don't think this movie is bad! So this movie is the first movie the critically acclaimed Studio Ghibli made in 6 yrs and its there first cg film. Now Studio Ghibli is the greatest animation studios of all time! They are from Japan and they made such amazing films such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke and so much more. All the films I just listed off to where all made by the incredible Hayao Miyazaki. His son Goro Miyazaki directed this. Goro directed a couple films, his first one Tales of Earthsea which was a flop. However, he completely redeemed himself with From up on Poppy Hill which was a big critical and commercial success. Then he made his award winning show Ronya the Robber's Daughter. Then he was asked by his dad Hayao Miyazaki and producer Toshio Suzuki asked him to make a film adaptation on the book Earwig and the Witch which was written by the same gal who wrote Howl's Moving Castle which was also adapted by Studio Ghibli and was directe...

Animated Films with stylized animation (and how they did it)

Image
I got a ton of reviews for movies and shows that I wanna do but I feel like I've been doing a lot of reviews lately, so I'm gonna do this instead. It gives me a little else to talk about. Today I'm gonna talk about movies with animation that looks like nothing we've seen before and how they did it. I also put videos so you can see the process. Spider-Man into the Spiderverse Spider-Man into the Spiderverse is a groundbreaking film in many ways. But one reason is because of its incredible animation! How they made the computer animation look like a comic book is amazing! How they did it is they put a lot of 2-D lines on the characters face. Look closely on Miles' face, see how the wrinkles on his forehead look hand drawn. They also animated most of the movie on twos, which means that they are 12 frames of animation in one second instead of the 24 frames of animation in one second which is used in most animated films. They did this to make the animation feel more grap...
